Geschichte-Erlebnisweg - History adventure trail:
Immerse yourself in the history of Saalfeld along the way. The stations take you to the Ice Age, the Ambisonten, the Romans and other exciting epochs. Stoissen natural forest reserve:

A very nice half-day hike on the Saalfelden local mountain as a viewing tour for average walkers. From the Biberg valley station you can reach Huggenberg on a shady forest path in about 1.5 hours. From here you can continue on a road to the Berggasthof Biberg for about 45 minutes.
Birnbachloch-Birnhorn Glacier / Leogang natural monument :
Initially on a wide path through the wild and romantic Ullach valley, moderately rising to the scree of the Eckersbach. In front of the Großer Stein on the nature trail and gently climbing through the pasture area to the “Jenningerhorn” hut (1050 m, not managed).
